John Lewis is to relaunch its Partnership Card later this year in partnership with NewDay, a UK provider of consumer credit. It will end its relationship with HSBC which has operated its current offering.
The Partnership Card was launched in 2004 and offers consumers a 1.25 per cent rebate on their spend at John Lewis and Waitrose, redeemable in gift vouchers.
Amir Goshtai, director of John Lewis Financial Services said: “Our Partnership Card has been our flagship product for many years and is loved by so many of our customers. That’s why we’re investing in relaunching it with new digital services to help customers in the moments that matter.
“There’s no immediate change for current customers, who can continue to use their card and collect points as normal, and we’ll write to them this summer about the change.”
