JoJo Maman Bébé prepares for growth

As part of its strategy to expand into international markets
during the next few years, JoJo Maman Bebe is enlarging its
warehouse at its Newport, Wales, head office to 35,000 sq ft. The
company, which sells apparel and other products for expectant and
new mothers and their babies, expects to open another eight UK
stores per annum and to launch its first international franchise
operation with three stores in Italy in 2008. JoJo is currently
growing at a rate of 25 percent. By Easter 2008 a new purpose
built, freestanding factory store will be built on the Newport
site, freeing up office space to allow for further recruitment of
head office personnel.

In other news, the company recently pledged its support for Nema,
a charity established to help rural communities in Mozambique.
Managing director Laura Tenison said that as well as a corporate
donation, JoJo will donate 5 percent of every gift voucher sold.
