KarstadtQuelle is to acquire German TV and online retailer, Home
Shopping Europe and its affiliated station, HSE24, from IAC for
an initial value of $196 million (£98.8m) with a possibility
of the value reaching $270m within three years. HSE-Germany
operates a German-language TV shopping business that is broadcast
24/7 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and the hse24.de
website. Its management team will remain in place following the
transaction with Dr Konrad Hilbers continuing as CEO.
