Kingfisher has raised its annual profit forecast after a stronger first half, with its marketplace contributing £13.4m to profit compared with £7m a year earlier.
Marketplace gross merchandise value rose 42 per cent to £372m in the six months to 31 July 2026.
Group adjusted pre-tax profit increased 9.9 per cent to £404m. That included a £14m one-off business rates refund; without it, growth was 6.1 per cent.
Kingfisher now expects full-year adjusted pre-tax profit of £595m–£635m, up from £565m–£625m previously.
