Kingfisher, the owner of B&Q and Screwfix, saw total
group sales rise 5.2 percent in the 10 weeks to 13th July 2013, up 2.5 percent
on a like-for-like basis. The group also revealed that its second quarter sales
in the UK & Ireland rose 3.6 percent, a like-for-like sales rise of 2.5
percent. B&Q total sales were up 1.7 percent, a 1.9 percent rise on a
like-for-like basis, and Screwfix sales rose 17.8 percent, a 6.6 percent
like-for-like sales rise, during the period.
