Legal action to be taken over Google

Six European data protection authorities, including France,
Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK, are taking legal action
against Google over its failure to comply with the European Data Protection
Directive. Coordinated via France’s CNIL (Commission nationale de
l’informatique et des libertès), Google will now be notified that it is in
violation of local law pending a full investigation. It’s understood the online
giant faces a maximum fine of €300,000.
