At Homebase, like-for-like sales declined 4.9 percent to
£1.43 billion and benchmark operating profit halved to £11 million in the year
to 2nd March. To help restore the business to profitability, parent company
Home Retail Group has announced plans to further invest in Homebase store
refits and multichannel capabilities. This has already included the launch of a
refreshed website during the year and a transactional mobile site.
