Liquidators pursue Farepak directors

The former directors of Farepak, the hamper company that
collapsed in 2006, leaving thousands of customers out of pocket
by an average of £400, may be sued after the Farepak
Liquidation Committee issued legal proceedings against “a
number of parties”. The liquidators are seeking to secure
further monies for creditors, who had been told they can expect
no more than 5 per cent of what they are owed. Former directors
include William Rollason, chief executive of Farepak parent
company European Home Retail, though the liquidators did not
confirm whether he was named in the writ.
