British luxury fashion brand LK Bennett has launched its US online shop after securing a five-year, £16 million credit facility last May to support its international expansion. It’s understood that as part of those plans, the retailer may open a store in Hong Kong, but that eCommerce expansion in China and Australia is more likely.
The private-equity backed business delivered sales of £94 million ($144 million) in the year to July 2012-an increase of 15 per cent. Pretax profit was up by 37 per cent to £11 million in 2012.
