Online furniture retailer Loaf which also operates eight showrooms has apparently attracted investment from Blue Coast Capital, an investment house which is operated for the Lewis family which also owns River Island. Blue Coast has reportedly acquired a controlling stake in Loaf which had been owned by founder Charlie Marshall with his 44.6 per cent stake and Peter Simon, the Monsoon Accessorize founder, who held 47.7 per cent. Blue Coast has a diverse range of investments but has not provided any corroboration or detail about the deal which is understood to have been spearheaded by Clive Lewis in his capacity of chairman.
