Love it. Buy it: eCommerce platform makes hotels ‘shoppable’ to guests

A new eCommerce platform – LiBi –  makes hotels ‘shoppable’ to guests via an easy-to-use mobile solution. It enables hotels to offer guests a range of items from their hotel stay, opening up new sales channels for lifestyle brands to reach potential customers in prime buying and brand engagement mindsets, whilst adding incremental revenue to hotels with every sale.

Through QR code access, guests can browse and purchase a range of items they encounter from their hotel stays – from bedding and beauty products to furniture and sports equipment.

Since launching in February 2022, LiBi has recruited an impressive portfolio of hotels and consumer brands as it seeks to add extra value for hospitality venues and their guests by blending rich and immersive product experiences with instant ‘retail reality’. Hospitality partners include the Headland Hotel & Spa in Cornwall, 137-room Alan Hotel in the heart of Manchester, Lake District-based Rothay Garden Hotel, and many others.

All commercial transactions flow through LiBi’s drop-ship home delivery model, meaning hotels don’t need to hold any inventory – the items re-delivered direct to guests’ homes.

Participating brands include Hypnos, Tielle Lux Bedlinen, The White Company, L’Occitane, Bramley, Telmont Champagne, Edmunds Cocktails, Pulseroll, Jay-Be Sofa beds, Art Loves, Topaz Swimwear, SVP Jewellery, Spirit of Manchester Gin & Vodka, Comfort Zone, Red Dog Glass Design, and Fermoyle Pottery. It has also partnered with local artists and artisans such as Gemma Lessinger, Mika Kaski, Kimberley Beesley and Nicola Moorland.
