Suspected arsonist(s) caused massive damage and disruption at Asos’ Barnsley fulfilment centre today, 21st June. Early reports are that there were no casualties but the damage has been serious enough to prompt Asos management to suspend order taking from its websites pending assessment of the extent of its losses and the impact upon its ability to process and ship customer orders. The facility in S Yorkshire spans some 60,000 square metres.
