Multichannel nursery specialist Mamas & Papas which operates from over 50 stores and concessions in the UK and Ireland, together with a robust wholesale and online business, has reported revenues of £144m for Y/E March 2023 with EBITDA of £10.9m.
CEO Nathan Williams commented: “We are incredibly proud of our performance and hugely grateful to all of our teams who have made this happen. Last year, despite a challenging inflationary environment, we backed our strategy and continued to invest in the brand and the business for both long-term sales and profit growth. That approach is bearing fruit in the current year, with an excellent performance from our revamped digital business and expanded store estate.”
For the 13 weeks to 31st December ’23, the retailer increased its sales by 17 per cent with record Black Friday trading which saw online sales grow by 20 per cent.
Mamas & Papas has 34 UK concessions in Next and Marks & Spencer stores and with Arnotts in Ireland. It is also pursuing further concession opportunity growth with retailers including El Corte Ingles in Spain, MAP Active in Indonesia, and the Central Store Group in Thailand.
“We’re looking forward to building on the momentum we’re currently seeing into the next year, expanding our presence both in the UK and overseas as the category leader in nursery and baby products and a purpose-led platform which champions parents and the planet”, added Williams.
