Marks and Spencer takes Jaeger

Marks and Spencer takes Jaeger

M&S has confirmed that it is the new owner of the Jaeger brand. It will, however, not be taking on the Jaeger stores or related staff, intending instead to sell Jaeger branded clothing via its website and in selected stores.

Once a revered Britsh brand best known for quality tailoring, Jaeger had suffered from a lack of investment over recent years ending up in the hands of Philip Day’s EWM Group. It is now hoped that M&S will build on Jaeger’s heritage and introduce higher quality, UK made outerwear and knitwear.
