Matalan has opened two new franchise stores of around 5,400 sq.ft. each in Gibraltar in conjunction with Pisa Group . In addition it has opened two further stores in Malta with franchise partner Camilleri Group bringing its total in the country to four stores. All are carrying a blend of family clothing and home ranges.
International director for Matalan Damian Hopkins said that Matalan chose countries where the brand has recognition and where there is high brand awareness; and that further franchise agreements are in process to take Matalan into other markets.
