Norbert Dentressangle has entered into a seven year contract with online fashion business Missguided in which the two businesses are to jointly invest in a new purpose built fulfilment centre in Manchester which will replace Missguided’s existing facility in Salford. The contract came into effect on 30th March with Norbert Dentressangle taking over the running of Missguided’s existing fulfilment centre including the transfer of more than 250 of Missguided’s employees. The new facility is expected to go live in Q1/Q2 2016 and with its mezzanine structure will provide over one million square feet of floor space which is more than five times the size of the current building in use.
Founded in 2009 by Nitin Passi, Missguided operates websites for the UK, USA, France and Australia, and now has its eyes focused on developing into further countries. It targets 16-34 year old female customers with celebrity inspired fast fashion at affordable prices, adding some 1000 new lines to its websites every month. Missguided’s founder Nitin Passi said, “A great customer experience is a key part of our strategy and as the business continues to grow rapidly we have made the decision to partner with a world leader in logistics so we can not only maintain our experience but also improve our service as we continue to grow.”
