MKM posts year of growth

MKM Building Supplies which added 12 new branches to its network in FY22 has posted revenues of £818m for the year which ended 30 September 2022. Hull headquartered MKM attributed growth to both its newly opened stores and its established branches. It had boosted its headcount by 14 per cent and achieved an increase in its profits of 7.3 per cent to £91m.

Kate Tinsley chief executive MKM Building Supplies said: “The 2022 results reflect another strong performance for MKM. This was supported by a dozen new branch openings as we continued to consolidate our position as the UK’s leading independent builders’ merchant.

“Despite the increased footprint, we firmly remain a local company wherever we operate and are pleased to have made meaningful contributions to the communities we serve, which is at the heart of the way MKM operates.”
