Morleys Stores rescues Bath department store

Jolly’s department store, a destination in Bath since 1823, is to be re-opened by Morleys Stores.

Jolly’s had been run up until recently by House of Fraser. Morleys, an independent department store group has promised it will bring Jolly’s back to its former glory and will retain the Jolly’s name.

Meanwhile, Frasers Group is closing three of the stores it acquired as part of its acquisition of Base Childrenswear from JD Sports. The stores which had been rebranded as Flannels Junior are in Bluewater, Westfield Stratford and Westfield White City. This leaves a single Flannels Junior store trading in Glasgow.
