Mothercare sales drop

Mothercare has recorded a 1.5 per cent drop in its sales to year ended March 2015 to £713.9 million having closed 31 loss making stores in the UK. The multichannel retailer had increased its underlying profits during the period and saw its online sales grow by 18 per cent to account for around 30 per cent of total UK sales. The business continues to focus on its eCommerce offering, deploying click & collect from its stores and is also committed to expand its international presence.
