Alex Russo who has held the post of chief executive at B+M had earlier advised the retailer’s board that he intends to retire. He has been with the business since 2020 and was promoted to the role of CEO in September 2022. A search for a replacement is said to be in the advanced stages by the retailer which has just issued a profit warning.

John Lewis has appointed Vikki Kavanagh as its chief commercial offer, replacing Kathleen Mitchell who is leaving the business. Kavanagh was previously managing director at Net-a-Porter.

Dunelm CEO Nick Wilkinson has announced his intention to retire from his role and is mooted to be looking to develop a non-executive portfolio. The Dunelm board is commencing with a search for a successor, with Wilkinson remaining in the post he has held for seven years until an appointment is made.

Paul Horsfield has joined Freemans, part of the Otto Group as its chief commercial officer. Horsfield has previously held senior posts with N Brown, Bohoo, and Shop Direct.
