Mr Fothergill’s Seeds has acquired Darlac, a gardening tools brand. The tools business will remain at its Slough location with its current staff in place with the former owner Peter Darban providing consultancy support. The acquisition of the £1 million turnover business will enable Mr Fothergill’s to extend its reach in the UK and overseas under its joint managing directors John Fothergill and David Carey who took over their fathers’ shareholdings earlier this year.
