Mulberry returns to profit

Mulberry has posted a profit on its full year trading to March 27th. The business had generated group revenues of £115 million with digital accounting for £56.4 million and international sales bringing in £33.8 million. This led to an underlying pre-tax profit of £5.9 million as compared with a loss of £14.2 million for the previous year.

“I have been immensely proud to lead Mulberry this year,” said CEO Thierry Andretta. In the past 12 months our teams have faced enormous challenges posed by the global health crisis and have responded with resilience, resolve and passion. We have been able to leverage our leading omnichannel position, achieving very strong growth in Asia, and have served the communities in which we operate, including repurposing our factories to produce over 15,000 reusable PPE gowns for frontline NHS workers.”

Mulberry joins a growing number of businesses pledging to adopt a circular model.
