My-Wardrobe to launch in Germany

Online fashion retailer My-Wardrobe has announced plans to launch
in Germany later this year and confirmed it was seeking more
funding to speed up its international expansion.

This latest funding will follow a year that’s seen the
luxury-fashion etailer achieve “phenomenal triple-digit
growth” in its new markets Australia, Scandinavia and the
Middle East, according to a spokesperson. It was also the year
My-Wardrobe appointed former Harrods Direct director David Worby
as its global chief executive to lead the company’s expansion
into emerging markets.

My-Wardrobe is looking to raise a further £3 million to help
support its recently launched US business, as well as its planned
entrance into the German market later in 2013. The My-Wardrobe
website is already available in German, in addition to English,
French and Norwegian. The site sells in 10 different currencies,
including Emirati dirham, Australian dollar, British pound and
euro.
