Alan White, chief executive at N Brown Group, has been voted the
CBI’s North West Business Leader of the Year 2007. N Brown, whose
catalogues include Simply Be, JD Williams, Fashion World and
Oxendales, employs 3,000 staff in Manchester. White, who
collected his award at a lunch ceremony at Manchester’s Midland
Hotel, said the business was expected to post full year profits
of £70 million.
