N Brown has fastest rate of revenue growth since 2009


Multititle cataloguer N Brown has recorded the fastest rate
of revenue growth since 2009 in the year to 2nd March 2013. The company
delivered sales of £784.7 million, a rise of 6 percent on the previous year,
with growth across all product categories. Operating profit was also up, by 3.1
percent, to £102.2 million. The group’s younger titles, including Simple Be and
Jacamo continued to grow at the fastest pace and were up 15 percent on last
year, thanks to investment in customer recruitment and higher sales from
existing customers. Further, the continued investment in its online offering
was rewarded with a 15 percent increase in online revenue to £424 million,
which now represents 55 percent of home shopping revenue. In addition,
mcommerce now accounts for 23 percent of the value of sales transacted online.
