Online retailer Net World Sports has been based on Wrexham Industrial Estate since 2014 and work has now started on a new £25m warehouse and office within a mile of its current site. The new 411,000 sq ft base, which is due to be completed next summer will have a significant number of new jobs across a range of functions. The award winning business was founded in 2009 and has racked up revenue growth every year since.
Unusually, Net World Sports staff were encouraged to have a say in what they wanted the new site to include. Current plans feature a bar, gym, onsite canteen, treatment rooms, a football pitch, tennis court and running track, with more under discussion.
Alex Lovén, founder and managing director at Net World Sports, said: “We’re a business that is built by the people of Wrexham for the people of Wrexham, so we’re delighted to be committing our long-term future to the town. We’re hugely excited by the prospect of delivering such a fantastic working environment for our staff and we’re sure that the new site will help us attract even more local talent whilst also leaving us better placed to achieve our ambitious growth targets.”
