Alex Williamson has been appointed as chief executive for House of Fraser and will take up the role from 31st July. He joins from Goodwood where he has held the position of CEO since 2012 having originally joined the sporting estate in 2008. The announcement has raised a few eyebrows as many had expected that the department store group would opt for a candidate with deep retail experience.
