Greg Pateras has confirmed to Direct Commerce that he has taken up the role of chief executive at ISawItFirst, the online fashion business.

Originally started by Jalal Kamani, brother of Mahmud Kamani who co-founded Boohoo, ISawItFirst is currently sponsoring reality TV show Love Island, looking to repeat the growth it derived from it last year. Pateras, a former CFO at Shop Direct where he was involved in its transformation from long-established catalogue retailer to pureplay online retailer, has also held the deputy CEO role at Matalan. It Is being suggested that the appointment could well signal that the business is headed for an IPO.
