New home delivery firm EezyFood launches

The meal subscription market got a new addition this month, with the launch of home delivery start-up EezyFood.

Run by co-founders Graeme Stewart and Chris Dodds, the company has set its sights on being the UK’s ‘best value’ recipe box. It aims to provide nutritious, high-quality yet low-cost food boxes that can feed families for up to three meals a day for a week.

It’s been reported that the duo were inspired to start the company after seeing footballer Marcus Rashford’s high profile campaign to combat child food poverty.

The subscription plans cover a range of dietary requirements, with vegan recipes to follow.

Customers can choose their items individually with the Create Your Own Boxes option, or select fixed meal options which are said to offer the best value.

Speaking to BusinessLive, Chris Dodds said: “Home-delivered food is a huge growth market in this COVID-19 era, enabling people to order food from the safety of their own homes. We will strive to offer budget-conscious customers access to healthy, fresh ingredients, save them time shopping and the hassle of deciding of what to eat at meal times.”
