eBay has promoted its chief marketing officer Eve Williams to the role of vice-president, general manager for its UK business. Williams replaces Murray Lambell who has been promoted to the role of global general manager for its home, garden and refurbished product categories located in the marketplace business’ European HQ in Switzerland.

Williams, who was global brand director at Asos for seven years prior to joining eBay, commented: “I feel incredibly privileged to step up to this role at an exciting moment in eBay’s 28 year history. In the UK, millions of people use our platform to buy and sell every day, while hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the country use eBay to reach millions of customers across all our key categories whether that’s car parts and accessories, homewares, pre-loved fashion or refurbished tech.
