News roundup–Accessorize to launch standalone website, Net-a-Porter releases iPad app


Accessorize, the Monsoon-owned
accessories business, is to launch a new website that’s
independent from Monsoon. The new site, reports
Retail Jeweller
, will be the backbone of Accessorize’s
international expansion and will be translated into German,
French and Danish.

Net-a-Porter, the luxury-fashion etailer, has
released a magazine app for the iPad. The app allows shoppers to
buy directly from Net-a-Porter’s customer magazine, watch
exclusive video content such as catwalk shows and interviews with
fashion designers, share product suggestions with family and
friends, and give feedback about their shopping experience.

Bicycle retailer Wiggle is investing in
paid-search marketing and has hired Latitude Digital Marketing to
run its search engine optimisation and pay-per-click campaigns.
The deal will see Latitude’s multilingual staff in ten countries
work across Wiggle’s overseas markets.
