The Telegraph speculates that
Argos owner Home Retail Group
may be relegated to the FTSE 250 after a poor performance.

trialing a new service with startup business Shutl that enables
customers living in the London area to shop online with Argos’s
Check & Reserve service and receive their parcels within 90
minutes of placing their order.

Littlewoods parent Shop Direct
Group
is using home workers based in remote locations
such as on the Scottish island of Bute to handle customer
enquiries and orders, writes the Scotsman.

A recent survey, covered by the Independent, has found that a quarter of
shoppers in the UK and US leave high street stores empty-handed,
opting to complete their purchases online.
