As reported on
Monday, The Hut Group has placed its newly
acquired wedding-supplies business Confetti into
administration. The administrator, RSM Tenon, has since closed
Confetti’s five stores but continues to operate the website.
Forty-eight of Confetti’s 96 employees have been made redundant.
The administrator is now looking to sell the business and has
issued an urgent call for buyers with an offer deadline of 23rd
August.
Waste and recycling solutions supplier Straight
plc is to start manufacturing its own products after
acquiring injection moulding firm Dyro Holdings
for £2.9 million.
High and Mighty, the big and tall clothing specialist,
is celebrating 50 years of trading with a relaunch of its
flagship store on Edgware Road, London. The store will open on
Friday, 10th September and the celebration is part of a £1
million refurbishment programme of High and Mighty stores,
following an acquisition by N Brown Group in
September 2009.
