News roundup–J Crew partners with Net-a-Porter, more

We reported in January that US apparel retailer/cataloguer
J Crew was planning on entering the UK market.
But there won’t be a J Crew.co.uk website, well not yet anyway.
As of mid-May, British website Net-a-Porter.com will be carrying J Crew
ranges. According to the J Crew Aficionada blog, selling through
Net-a-Porter.com gives J Crew access to 170 countries. However,
one blog commentator notes, “it does beg the question why
not do it themselves? If [fellow American apparel brand]
Forever21.com do it, surely J.Crew can also?”
