Luxury products group Labelux, which owns
perfume maker Coty, has acquired footwear brand
Jimmy Choo from TowerBrook Capital
Partners. The transaction has the full support of Jimmy
Choo’s senior management led by founder and chief creative
officer Tamara Mellon OBE and chief executive officer Joshua
Schulman, who will remain with Jimmy Choo in their existing
capacity.
Liberty Media, the owner of the
QVC home shopping network, has launched a $1
billion (£615 million) bid for American bookstore chain
Barnes & Noble, reports the Independent.
Online lingerie retailer LingeriePlease has
purchased the entire lingerie stock of
Becheeky.com, which went into liquidation on 7th
April 2011. The stock, worth £70,000 was bought for an
undisclosed sum. The acquisition sees LingeriePlease stock
swimwear and male underwear for the first time.
A warehouse supervisor working for online retailer
Isabella Oliver has been jailed for eight months
after being found guilty of theft and possessing criminal
property. The former employee stole designer clothes and
maternitywear and sold the items on his own eBay site, reports
the BBC.
