Pretax profit at Majestic Wine rose 20 percent
to £7.3 million in the first half of the year. Total sales
were also up, rising 10.2 percent to £117.6 million,
compared with £106.7 million in 2009. Online sales at the
wine retailer increased 8.3 percent on last year and now
represent 9.1 percent of UK retail sales.

Online retailer Mobile Fun, which specialises in
accessories for mobile phones, has launched a new website
catering for the electronics and entertainment accessories
sector. GamingZap.com sells online gaming
accessories and peripherals such as gaming mice, keyboards and
headsets.

Italy-based online retailer Yoox is to launch a
Chinese version of its apparel website TheCorner.com by the end
of 2011, writes the Independent. The launch will be followed by
the opening of Yoox.com in China in 2012.

Automotive accessories retailer Halfords
appointed former M&S director Andrew Findlay as
group finance director. He joins the business in February.
