Mobile phone accessories etailer Mobile Fun
announced sales of approximately £4.5 million in the
half-year to 30th September 2010, representing a 52 percent
increase on the same period in 2009. Pretax profit was
£500,000 and is expected to beat £1 million for the
full year. The company’s German website, MobileFun.de accounted
for 9 percent of the order growth and the French website,
MobileFun.fr, accounted for 18 percent.

Royal Mail has said it is investing £20 million in
additional measures to deal with the adverse weather conditions.
These include recruiting 3,000 more staff to support the
Christmas operation over the next two weeks. It also added 500
more professional HGV drivers and an extra 250 large lorries to
complement the existing fleet.

Marks & Spencer,
Tesco, Sainsbury’s,
Amazon, and Boots have all
suspended deliveries to Scottish customers using their online
services due to the snow and ice, reports the Guardian.
