Nigel’s Eco Store, an online seller of
environmentally friendly products, has acquired
EcoCentric.co.uk, an eco homewares
etailer.

The Schneider Group, a german cataloguer/online
retailer of apparel, homewares and promotional products, has been
sold by Barclays Private Equity to another private equity firm,
Silverfleet Capital. As part of the deal, Schneider’s management
and the founder’s family will be reinvesting in the business and
will continue to hold a minority stake.

If someone offers you a knock-down-price Barbour
jacket this winter, it could well be stolen. A lorry containing
8,000 of the wax jacket favourite was hijacked earlier this month
and thieves made off with £750,000 worth of goods, reports
the
Telegraph
. Steve Buck, the managing director of J Barbour &
Sons, told the newspaper that the incident will “have an
impact on our ability to deliver to some of our
customers”.

Blacks Leisure Group has confirmed that it is in
discussions with several parties “regarding either a
possible offer for the company or an offer to acquire certain of
the company’s trading activities and related assets”.
