West Coast Capital has sold footwear chain
Office to private equity firm Silverfleet
Capital. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In 2009, Office
record sales of £146 million and EBITDA of £18.5
million. Office’s Brian McCluskey will continue as chief
executive.

In first 19 weeks to 11th December, total UK retail sales at
apparel and homewares retailer Laura Ashley
increased by 1.3 percent year-on-year; like-for-like sales
increased by 2.7 percent. Thanks to enhancements in its online
operation, ecommerce sales grew 28.7 percent during the
period.
