Full price sales at Next for the 3rd quarter were up by 7.6 per cent over the same period last year and 2.6 per cent over the retailer’s guidance. Of this, compared to Q3 2023, Next UK online revenue was up by 7.8 per cent, online UK Label sales up by 8 per cent, and overseas online sales were up by 5.8 per cent. Next has attributed Q3 performance to the colder weather which saw consumers spending earlier on autumn/winter ranges.
The multi-brand multichannel retailer has revised its guidance for sales accordingly, saying that total group sales are expected to be £6.27bn which is up by 7.4 per cent over its previous guidance of £6.23bn. It attributed the difference to the acquisitions it completed during the last year, including that of its 97 per cent holding in FatFace in October 2023, and its 74 per cent holding in Reiss.
