Nisbets has announced its acquisition of Merthyr Tydfil based Mitre Linen which supplies luxury linen and soft furnishings to customers in the hospitality sector. With customers in 50 countries and a well established catalogue and online trading presence, Mitre Linen which began operating in 1946 holds a Royal Warrant.
Tim Carr, Nisbets finance director commented “This is very much a strategic acquisition which means we now have substantial linen offerings for our customers which will complement Nisbet’s catering equipment product range. He added, “Mitre has a strong set of values and, like Nisbets, prides itself on giving great service to its loyal customers in a range of sectors, including hotels, universities, hospitals and laundries.”
Nisbets was advised on the acquisition by Temple Bright and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
