Not On The High Street lifts TV spend

Not On The High Street says it is increasing its TV and video-on-demand investment by 120 per cent year on year for its autumn and Christmas campaigns.

The online marketplace will run two consecutive campaigns from October through to mid-December, featuring the independent makers who sell through its platform. The autumn film begins on 1 October; a Christmas advert is due to follow in November.

The increased screen spend is intended to reach early festive shoppers as well as those buying closer to Christmas. Not On The High Street says its partners make an average of 44 per cent of their annual sales in the final quarter, although it has not published the underlying calculation.

The move shows the marketplace putting more money behind broad-reach brand advertising at its most important trading time. The company has not disclosed an absolute spend figure or a sales target for the campaign.
