Yet another retailer from the furniture sector has ceased trading, with the loss of 35 jobs. Oak Furniture Solutions has appointed Kirks as administrators whilst a buyer is found for the business which allegedly has a backlog of several thousand prepaid customer orders outstanding. David Kirk, director of Kirks, said “We understand that Oak Furniture Solutions going into administration will be a cause of concern for customers who have paid for their orders in advance,” urging affected customers to pursue their banks for refunds if they have paid using credit or debit cards.
Ten employees are being retained for the next few weeks to provide assistance to the administrators.
