Oak Furnitureland will preview a new range of engineered oak flooring in an initial three stores from Boxing Day as part of an expansion into new categories. The chosen stores will feature styled room sets including what the business calls ‘inspiration areas’. A new app has also been launched to enable customers to scan and save products to a wishlist using QR codes and use VR tech to bring the products to life in their own rooms.
CEO Alex Fisher said: “As a brand, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, which is why it was important for us to carefully develop our showrooms to bring our furniture to life in an authentic way that will inspire our customers. Customers can discover our flooring across the entire showroom, not just on a small display board, so they’re able to see a real difference and discover just how good our flooring looks when it’s part of the whole room.
“Coupled with our new app and VR technology, we believe these four showrooms will create a more seamless shopping experience for our customers, bringing to life our whole home offer, which we will be introducing to more of our showrooms in the year ahead.”
The first four new-look stores are located in Cheltenham, Farnborough, Speke and Wednesbury.
