Oasis success is catalyst for new launches

Following its website launch in August, fashion retailer Oasis says that its transactional site has exceeded all expectations. “The successful launch of the Oasis e-commerce site and its performance to date equals that of a top-performing Oasis store in the UK, with limited marketing support,” said Meg Lustman, group strategy & development director. The site, hosted and managed by Fresca, is integrated with Oasis’ buying and merchandising system, Mercatus (from BT expedite) and the systems of fulfilment and logistics provider Amethyst to reflect stock availability on the site. Lustman added that the platform used for the Oasis site will be extended to other Mosaic brands in order to launch Karen Millen, Coast and Whistles online sites later this year.
