Nigel Oddy will take up the role of CEO at New Look from the start of 2020. Oddy joined New Look as its chief operating officer from The Range in 2017 and had previously held the CEO seat at House of Fraser, prior to its acquisition by Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct.
Alistair McGeorge has been covering New Look’s CEO role as executive chairman for two years since the departure of Anders Kristiansen, and from January will become its non-executive chairman.
“With the financial restructuring and customer strategy review complete, and as we focus on our retailing excellence, now is the right time for Nigel to become New Look’s CEO and for me to assume a non-executive role in my capacity as chairman,” McGeorge said, adding that Nigel had been running the business operationally since he joined and in a short space of time had made significant improvements to its buying, product, supply chain and omnichannel offer.
