One percent increase in gross transaction value at Debenhams


Department store chain Debenhams in the 16 week period to
22nd June 2013 saw gross transaction value increase by 1 percent and for the
first 42 weeks of the year grow by 2.6 percent, while like-for-like sales were
flat for the 16 week period and were up 2.1 percent for the 42 weeks. Debenhams
online sales grew strongly and increased by 40 percent in the 16 week period,
accounting for 14 percent of total sales. For the year to date, Debenhams
online sales have grown by 43.9 percent and represent 13.1 percent of total
sales.
