Otto relaunches Freemans, tackles customer debt


General-merchandise catalogue Freemans, part of Otto UK, unveiled
a revamped website on 16th July. The site features 4,000
exclusive online products in addition to the full catalogue
range, with new products being added each week. Redesigned by
Flow Interactive, creative agency Splendid and Freemans’ in-house
eCommerce team, the site includes 360-degree catwalk videos
showcasing key products and top looks as well as new tips and
advice sections.

In other Otto UK news, the company is using VoiceSage’s
interactive voice messaging technology to notify its customers of
late payments in order to reduce customer debt. In a test, Otto
saw a 17 per cent increase in payment volumes among customers
contacted by the personalised message. Otto is using the solution
across all its brands, including Grattan, Oli and Kaleidoscope,
to decrease the amount needed for debt provisioning and free up
contact centre agents to deal with other matters.
