Pandora to ditch mined diamonds

Pandora, which has enjoyed a 136 per cent boost in online sales during its first quarter, has launched a new ‘Pandora Brilliance’ collection which incorporates laboratory created ‘diamonds’. The business says that going forward it will no longer use mined diamonds as part of its sustainability agenda. Copenhagen headquartered Pandora has 216 UK stores.

CEO Alexander Lacik said: “We have had a good start to 2021, not least considering that many of our stores have been closed. Performance in the US and online continues to be strong, and we keep investing on building brand desirability, digital capabilities and operational excellence.”
