The 106 remaining stores from the collapsed Paperchase chain will be closing permanently as administrators have not been able to find a buyer for them. The Paperchase website has also now closed with all remaining stock being in the process of being sold off at discounted prices by the stores.
Tesco had swooped buy the brand and IP in January from administrators Begbies Traynor. Tesco intends to leverage the brand in its stores going forward.
A statement from Paperchase to its customers said: “It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the paperchase.com online store will cease trading on Friday 17th February.
“We want to take a moment to thank you for your support and loyalty over the years. Whether you were browsing for the latest notebook or seeking inspiration for your latest project, we are so grateful to have been part of your journey.”
